Next Morrissey Park can drive to be this weekend
The Chilton Morrissey Park Project Inc, in conjunction with the Chilton Area Catholic School, is holding its bi-monthly aluminum can fundraising drive starting Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12.
Project members are asking the community to donate their empty aluminum cans. The cans should be placed in plastic bags and left by the trailer in the Chilton Area Catholic School (CACS) parking lot, located at 60 E. Washington St.
Additionally, aluminum cans be brought up to CACS anytime as the trailer now sits at the school in the east playground. Bags of cans should be dropped off next to the trailer.
Funds raised by this drive helps Chilton Morrissey Park Project maintain the community-built playground at Morrissey Park. Additionally, the funds will help support the creation of a basketball court in the former single tennis court at Morrissey Park.
The remaining dates of the 2015 aluminum can drives are Sept. 11, 12 and 13; and Nov. 13, 14 and 15.
